Holger Daske is professor for Accounting and Finance at the University of Mannheim. Before coming to Mannheim, he was assistant professor of Accounting at J.W. Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main and faculty member of the European Union sponsored research Network “INTACCT” consisting of ten leading European Universities. He studied Economics and Business Administration at Konstanz University, the University of Massachusetts, and J.W. Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main, where he also defended his doctoral thesis on “Adopting International Financial Reporting Standards in the European Union – Empirical Essays on Causes, Effects and Economic Consequences”. He was visiting fellow at the University of Wales, Lancaster University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In the academic year 2006/2007, he was visiting assistant professor of Accounting at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His has published his work, amongst others, in the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting and Abacus. His research interests are in the areas of empirical capital markets based research in accounting and finance.
